Shut up & Survive

How to stay alive and survive after being stopped and harassed by the police ©iniar

after watching some documentaries and videos

i am going to share my thoughts about citizens interactions with police officers and how those occurrences have gone terribly wrong with those stops and harassments

we should not get into long conversations with police officers

we need to shut up and survive

shut up  means stay calm and collected

the keys to survival are

tell yourself to shut up

this is a conversation inside your mind

not out loud

look at the officers eyes or face

This action will have many of effects. They are

  1. let the officers see you are a person not a suspect
  2. let the officer know you are paying attention again you are a person
  3. it will keep your emotions in this moment  you do not need to be any other place but where you are
  4. your eyes will have an unspoken conversation with the officer
  5. this is a test  all of your bad emotions will be tested
  6. do not fail
  7. to pass this this.  get the a  survive

scenario 1 is

when you see the police lights tell yourself shut up  turn on the signal signal* then pull over and shut up

*if and this is a huge if…  that if you can get your car registration insurance and drivers license while pulling over then do  but if you cannot do not move  have your hand in plain sight of the window and do did not move breathe  and tell yourself shut up roll down the window

as the police  walks to the car tell yourself be quiet and look at the officer eyes or face  relax

if you have the papers and driver license put your hands and papers on the window have both hands in view by the window, look at a police officer and do not talk shut up the officer will take your information and may say hello or may ask you how was your day afternoon or evening

or may ask you do you know why I stopped you tell yourself to shut up pleasantly and calmly speak back saying hello  tell yourself to shut up and again respond back calmly to the office Im good  keep it simple and shut up

also keep your eyes on the officer let him see a person that will not harm him or her

important

keep your eyes on officers eyes or face. let them see a person that will not harm her or him

keep it simple

you want to survive

less is better

another

scenario is

if you were not able to get your license and papers tell yourself to shut up look at the officers eyes and face and listen for instructions stay calm

the officer may say hello and ask you do you know why i stopped you tell yourself to shut up and calmly and pleasantly say hello  the officer may ask how was your day afternoon or evening as well as  where have you been or where are you going tell yourself  shut up and  again respond back calmly to the officer  im good and im coming from home or going to my house   keep it simple

side note

before the officer approached your car they have already to look at your license plate information on the computer  be smart and conscious

while you wait tell yourself shut up because the test will come when officer comes back to the car

ps

do not let the time the office is in the car upset you because there will be another part of the real test

do not become impatience

do not worry about the time

when the officer approaches the car again  tell yourself to shut up  then look at officer calmly and wait

at this point many things can happen stay calm and listen

if you are issued a ticket look at the officer and say thank you  wait for the police officer go back to her or his car  tell yourself  shut up   do not drive away in a rush put on your seat belt put your signal on and slowly merge and drive away

but

if the officer that tries to engage you into a conversation by asking you questions tell yourself be quiet and stay calm

your responses to all the questions are I am good thank you or  im ok thank you

pay attention to your emotions because you may be asked to get out of the car or some of the commands

obey all commands period ©iniar

this is survival surviving this moment do not worry about your rights or your ego

stay calm do not ask why

just obey all the commands

make sure your demeanor and energy are calm make sure to look at the officer so that they see you are obeying and you are still a person a human being

you may want to continue to look at the officer and say ok to all commands and remember  If you are asked how are you or how do you feel  calmly say I am good or  I am ok  be sincere and truly mean your responses

this is survival

any mistreatment to you in your rights can be handled at a later time

think about this

 you have not been arrested

you are trying not to be arrested

do not let your mouth or emotions or pride

anything for the that matter

make you jump into this trap

to get you to react in a way that that will get yourself arrested  period

remember do not worry about time or where you need to be  stay in this moment and listen and look

so you can go home

please

Survive!

once you have passed this part of the test quietly get into your car put on your seat belt turn on your left signal takes some deep breaths

slowly drive away

you have survived

 you are alive

disclaimer the above advice is my experience with having police officer stopping me countless times the techniques have help me

hell I have more confidence getting stopped by police in another country at least there you get stopped because of greed here in united states you are stopped because of hatred disrespect and control

also

this is not an indictment of the past reactions by anyone but we look at our future for systemic changes

we need to think about our fundamentals

we need to help ourselves and especial our children to cope and survive in THIS society

this bring to mind a passage from the I Have A Dream  speech by Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

and it reads there are those who are asking the devotee of civil rights  when will you be satisfied we can never be satisfied as long as the negro is the victim of unspeakable horrors of police brutality

that was 56 years ago and we are still in this gripe today ©iniar
